Yet another promising comeback from a British band this year. After releasing what was arguably their best album yet in 2002, The Remote Part, Idlewild follow it up with their fourth long-play record in March. Its first single, 'Love Steals Us from Loneliness,' suggests the Scottish band is perfecting their trademark formula: aggressive sounding electric 'rawk' guitars and an irresistibly bold, almost childish take-on-the-world attitude, combined with indie-rock anthemic melodies, moody vocals, and poetic sad lyrics. --Hey, I'm not going to pretend I don't have a soft spot for them. Let's just hope it doesn't take another ten months to see a US release this time.
