Unexpected change of pace for Bloc Party's new single 'So Here We Are.' After a series of energetic rock tracks filled with urgency and anger, they now introduce their upcoming debut album with a mid-tempo, luminous song full of melancholic undertones that is less immediately accessible than their predecessors but a definite grower. Silent Alarm is released on Valentine's Day, and looks set to become the first great record of 2005.
Seriously, it's that good.
